Hello

When people ask, I usually tell them that I started riding horses at conception. I was lucky enough to have grown up in the barns of Central Florida, and have always had access to horses and equine professionals. I've had many good trainers and coaches teach and guide me on my path in the equestrian world. I showed in Hunters, Dressage, Ranch, and Reining, as well as trail ridden thousands of miles across the South Eastern United States. Without the support of my parents, coaches, and trainers I would never have become the equestrian I am today. I strive to foster the same love of the horse in all of my clients. We were all brought together by the same fascination of these animals.

Growing up with horses taught me a lot about empathy, responsibility, resilience, and patience. They taught me how to listen and how to reflect; how to be kind and how softness is often our most powerful tool. My life's work is in honor of all the horses who taught me, challenged me, asked me to be better.

Through the years I've worked with horses of many breeds and backgrounds. Some were kind, some were ferocious, and some were numb, but all shared a need for security, not just physically but in their relationships with people. These horses may have been rescues, wilds, or simply had gaps or excessive roughness in their training histories. Those stressors caused many of them to be reactive and defensive towards humans. It was clear that these horses had no trust in their humans to keep them safe or to listen to them when something was wrong. This distrust lead to undesirable, and often dangerous, behaviors that frightened or harmed their owners and riders.

My goal is to bring horses and their people together by building their relationship through foundational training and education. When a horse and human can have trust and confidence in themselves and in each other they have the ability to do anything.

We owners are responsible for every aspect of our horses' lives, so why don't we work together to connect with them more? After all, any horse can be a Unicorn.
